Photography / set of 9 collage / C-prints / readymade stickers / 6.5 x 8.5 cm each.
If It Wasn’t consists of nine photos that have kids stickers on them, and shows the artist’s early explorations
of contextuality of images. The artist directly covers a landscape image with a children fruit sticker, as if it is
a play, quickly deciding the area to cover. This split second decision demonstrates exactly the artist’s
understanding of the relationship between images. Through a simple action that is almost reflexive and a
judgement that is almost intuitive, shown here is the artist’s consideration of the relationship between human’s
universal, primal desire for beauty, and visual experiences.
